Skoda Kylaq sales milestone

Mumbai: Škoda Auto India marked a significant milestone as the compact SUV Skoda Kylaq completed one year in the Indian market with over 50,000 units sold since launch.

The Skoda Kylaq sales milestone comes during the brand’s strongest sales year in 2025 and reinforces Kylaq’s role as a key growth driver for Škoda Auto India.

The Kylaq has emerged as a strong pillar of the brand’s India growth story, contributing substantially to Škoda Auto India’s best-ever sales performance in its 25th year in the country.

Its combination of safety, driving dynamics, technology, and value has resonated strongly with customers, positioning it as a leading contender in the highly competitive sub-4m SUV segment.

To commemorate the Skoda Kylaq sales milestone, Škoda Auto India also announced a broader democratisation of features across the Kylaq range, expanding the line-up from four to six variants and increasing price points from seven to 11, offering customers greater choice and value.

Skoda Kylaq Sales Milestone Drives Expansion of Variant Portfolio

Commenting on the Kylaq’s first anniversary, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “The Kylaq is a strong testament to our long-term commitment to India and saw us enter the market’s most competitive segment. Crossing the 50,000 Skoda Kylaq sales milestone is truly humbling and reflects the growing trust in the Škoda brand.

To build on this momentum, we are expanding the Kylaq line-up with customer-led enhancements, while also making the Kylaq the most accessible vehicle with a real automatic transmission in its segment. These upgrades also democratise features that matter most to today’s customers, across variants. With a wider and more structured range, and more exciting additions planned later this year, the Kylaq continues to reflect our commitment to offering European technology, strong value and great driving cars for Indian roads.”

Expanded Variant Range for Greater Choice

For 2026, the Kylaq range expands from four variants to six, now available across 11 price points. Škoda Auto India has introduced a new Classic+ variant, positioned between the entry-level Classic and the Signature trim.

Additionally, an all-new Prestige+ variant has been added at the top of the Kylaq line-up, offering customers a wider spread of features and pricing options.

Democratising Features from the Entry Level

As part of its strategy to enhance accessibility to European technology, Škoda Auto India has strengthened the lower end of the Kylaq range.

The newly introduced Kylaq Classic+ comes equipped with features such as an electric sunroof, Auto IRVM, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, and a multi-function steering wheel.

Importantly, the Kylaq Classic+ makes the Kylaq the most accessible car in its segment to offer a full-fledged automatic torque converter transmission.

Upgrades Across the Line-up

Responding to customer demand, the Signature and Signature+ variants now receive upgrades including an electric sunroof, paddle shifters for the automatic transmission, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, and LED reading lamps.

The Prestige range has also been split into Prestige and Prestige+ variants, enabling customers to choose between fully equipped trims based on their preferences and budget.

To celebrate one year of success following the Skoda Kylaq Sales Milestone, Škoda Auto India has announced limited-period anniversary offers on select Kylaq variants, with benefits of up to ₹50,000.
